Near Miss Reporting
Not every dangerous incident results in a crash, but recognizing where they happen is crucial to improving street safety. As part of the Hoboken Vision Zero Action Plan, we track these incidents and share anonymized data with the City to enhance street design. If you’ve experienced, or witnessed, a near miss, please report it using the form below—every incident, no matter how small, matters.
A near miss incident is an event in which a driver of a vehicle or a person walking, running, biking, rolling, or scooting had to suddenly stop, swerve or otherwise move to avoid a collision. If you were involved in a crash, we encourage you to report it to law enforcement. However, if you do not feel comfortable contacting law enforcement, you can provide the information here instead.
