Andrew Wilson
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
CHAIRPERSON OF THE BOARD
Andrew has lived and cycled in Hoboken since 2012. His passion focuses on transportation safety and advocacy. He believes that all Hoboken residents deserve transportation options that are safe, fun, and accessible.
He’s done his fair share of road biking and bikepacking in the past, but these days, you’re most likely to see him rolling around town on his vintage yellow Schwinn or hauling groceries on his Tern GSD. -
Adele Serunjogi

Passionate about inclusivity and safety you can find him ride-marshalling not only for Bike Hoboken, but also on Bike JC’s Friday Night Light Up rides and the Jersey City Ward Tour.

Clayton Lane
BOARD SECRETARY
Clayton met his wife advocating for bike sharing in Philadelphia, and he's been advocating for safer streets ever since! He loves walkable, bike-friendly, transit rich cities where all people can thrive, and he has dedicated much of his life to the cause.
Clayton co-founded PhillyCarShare which helped usher shared mobility into the U.S., earning an EPA Environmental Achievement Award. He helped catalyze bus rapid transit (BRT) and safer streets around the world by leading the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (CEO, ITDP) and co-founding the WRI Center for Sustainable Cities. Perhaps his funnest role was leading global policy and sustainability for micromobility pioneer Bird, operating in 475 cties. Along the way, Clayton's teams have authored a few well-referenced guides including the BRT Standard, Bike Share Planning Guide, and Cities Safer by Design. A planner at heart, Clayton began his career planning bus and rail systems across the U.S., and he currently serves as a transportation planner for Nelson\Nygaard.By far Clayton's proudest moments are walking outside in Hoboken with his 3-year-old son, and feeling the satisfaction that he and his colleagues have contributed to safer streets and a fairer, more sustainable world for his son and generations to come.
Our History
Bike Hoboken has played a pivotal role in transforming the city’s cycling landscape, starting from the formation of the Hoboken Bicycle And... Club in 1986. Over time, efforts grew stronger through organizations like Hobiken, and were eventually expanded with the founding of Bike Hoboken by Juan Melli in 2008. Under leadership from Chris Giannini, Josh Meyers, Brian Wagner, Ron Bautista, Chris Adair and countless volunteers, Bike Hoboken gained momentum with projects such as curbside transformations, the introduction of bike share, and organizing for safe streets. These efforts have helped make Hoboken’s streets a safer place for all residents. Today, as a 501(c)(3) non-profit, Bike Hoboken continues to lead efforts for sustainable transportation.
